ENTRY E—016 / GAMES / GOTHIC

Inscryption

Inscryption begins as a roguelike deckbuilder played across a table in a dark cabin against a figure called Leshy — sacrifice your own cards to play stronger ones, and the game keeps score of more than points. That is the first room. Daniel Mullins Games builds on top of it like a nesting box of genres and fourth-wall damage; saying more would spoil the descent.
